Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for providing the details.
The most important thing to understand in diabetes is, this is a disease without much symptoms in the early stages. The symptoms of diabetes are due to complications of diabetes. Once complications sets in treatment will be troublesome.
So regular blood tests and screening of complications are important. Minimum tests needed are HbA1c 3-4 times a year, fasting and after food glucose at least monthly, kidney and liver functions annually.
So please consult a physician and have your blood tests done. He will also check you for other diabetes complications like eye disease and nerve disease.
Regarding your questions
1. Hair loss in diabetes can be due to vitamin deficiencies or hypothyroidism. It is unlikely due to the side effects of drugs
2. Wrinkling on contact with water is unrelated to diabetes
3. Tiredness in diabetes can be due to uncontrolled sugars or vitamin deficiencies. Have regular diet, increase vegetable content, drink plenty of water. Avoid fasting and feasting. Again do a thyroid function tests also.
4. No diet is prohibited in diabetes. You can take small quantities of calorie is high. Brown rice (par boiled) is always better than white rice as it contain more fibres
5. Dry cough may be due to allergy or asthma. Any infection can worsen your diabetes. Drugs like steroids also will worsen diabetes
6. Acidity may be due to the medications ( Metformin) that you take for diabetes.
