Hello,

Mild diaper rash can be treated effectively with hone remedies. But if extensive, it may require the use of an antibiotic. Soframycin is an antibiotic and is not ideally recommended on baby's fragile skin unless indicated.

I would suggest you to do the following:
- Avoid using baby wipes for a while as frequent rubbing of the skin may cause a flare up of the rash.
- Clean the area with warm water and allow it to air dry or lightly pat and dry the area.
- You can use SUDOCREME which is a thick cream base, suitable for baby's skin and aids in faster recovery of the rash.
- Wear loose fitting diapers for a while.
- Make sure you pat and dry the folds properly.
- Also you can apply cold pressed coconut oil before bathing, which will act as an emollient and help in healing the rash.

I hope this helps,

Hi,

Diaper rashes can take some days to heal completely. You need to be extra cautious while changing her diapers. It would be better to completely avoid diapers and use only light cotton clothes for the time being.

Soliderm is an antifungal ointment to treat any fungal infection causing nappy rashes. You can use this ointment for 3-5 days and then stop. It would be better to use SUDOCREME after that as it gives a cooling effect to the inflamed area.

If the rash does not seem to resolve even after a few days, you may have to consult with your doctor and he may suggest you an ointment containing mild form of steroid which should positively help your daughter.

I hope this helps,
