Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Exhaustion While Suffering From Liver Issues
Question: Been severing from a liver issue for about 4 1/2 weeks now., It started after I Took 10 mg a flexor all. The next morning I woke up with itching on my hands and feet and extreme exhaustion, followed it in the following days by dark urine and gray diarrhea. It is now been 4 1/2 weeks. The doctor suspects that it is drug-induced hepatitis. However as you can see my labs they've gone down… Except today my XXXXXXX Rubin shot up to 16.5, my AST and ALT declined, and my alk phos went up to 153. Should I be concerned? MRI was negative, every other blood test has been negative. Any other thoughts?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read carefully all your concerns and all your medical history.
As I see all your test are decreasing except direct bilirubine level.
There is nothing to be concerned till now, since your AST and ALT level is decreasing.
To my opinion you should repeat the tests (AS, ALT, direct bilirubine) after two weeks.
If your test level continue to increase than you need to do liver biopsy.
Hope it was helpful !

For the most part w enzymes like they are, even with high bilirubin counts, you still see most patients have an uncomplicated, if long, recovery?

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Yes there are some patients that the recovery time is too long till 12 weeks.
Otherwise it would be great if the bilirubin level decreases as other liver panel.
This is why I suggest you do to liver biopsy if it continue to increase bilirubin level.
wish you fast recovery.
