Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Hair Loss While Having Anemia
Question: my 7 years old.child going to toilet after each meal. sevear hair loss. and stomach problem from.last 3 months. now anemia. waiting list for paediatric appointment. she scare to eat now

read the query and noticed you concern.
There are numerous causes for persistent diarrhea in children but a presentation of diarrhea with anemia and hair loss most likely is "malabsorption diarrhea". a common cause in children is "gluten intolerance ( Celiac disease). Certain blood test, stool test and intestinal biopsy may confirm the disease.
Giardiasis is another common cause but usually in a setting of a recent history of camping.
I would strongly recommend you to visit a gastroenterologist asap.
wish the child speedy recovery along with good and sound health thereafter.

as mentioned Celiac test is negative. i would further like to know:
1. frequency of stool per day?
2. is the stool watery OR is it steatorrhea?
3. have osmotic and secretory causes been investigated?
4. stool test for occult blood and leukocytes done?infectious diarrhea ruled out?
5. has lactose-free and sugar-free diet been tried to improve diarrhea symptoms?if yes, was it effective?
any stool test reports maybe attached with the answer.
