Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea In Children
Continue with ORS and Sporolac.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Diarrhea in children is usually brought on by gastrointestinal (GI) infections caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites. Most likely it is viral diarrhea.
The main motive of treatment is prevention of dehydration. Continue giving him ORS with zinc supplements after every loose stool.
If the child is behaving normally then there is no need to worry. Do give him a bland diet, with no milk, boiled vegetables or potatoes, and curd rice/khichdi with curd, and ripe bananas for a couple of days.
Get his stool examined and if it indicates infection, see his pediatrician for a course of antibiotics. You can meanwhile give him half a tablet of Lomotil twice a day along with the diet I have suggested.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Avoid oily fried food.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Oily fried food will be difficult for him to digest and can cause gastritis. It is better to give him home made light and easy to digest food. You can give him fresh fruit juices and buttermilk also. Give him something to eat every 2 hours. Sporolac sachets are available or you can mix the tablet in ORS.
Hope my answer is helpful.
