Question: My mother is 83 yrs. old and is having symptoms that include diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue and brown urine. She was recently hospitalized and placed on antibiotics for kidney infection. She also has lupus and high blood pressure. Could these be symptoms of drug interaction?
Brief Answer:
Not drug interaction.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. From the information you have provided it is likely that these symptoms are all related. It is possible that she developed a kidney infection and this caused her some vomiting and diarrhoea which led to dehydration. Brown urine is a reflection of dehydration. In an elderly person this type of illness will easily cause fatigue.
Therefore, the symptoms you describe are not a result of drug interactions.
I hope this is if help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
