Question: i have had diaherra for a week and now i am being sick

Most causes of diarrhea such as food poisoning and viral infection resolve in a few days. If it has been going on for a week and now you are vomiting (I assume that is what you mean by being sick) this is concerning for a more serious condition.
It could be that you have gastritis, an ulcer or a more serious intestinal infection that needs antibiotics. At 54 years old diverticulitis an inflammation of the colon is also present. It would be best for you to see a doctor and have stool culture and get stool examined for parasites as well.
If you develop severe pain, fever or if the vomiting is severe you should go to Emergency.
Any time that you have vomiting and diarrhea it is important to replace fluids by drinking plenty of water or other clear liquids.
