Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea

Question: I have been having loose stools f o r a couple of weeks. It coincided with putting a new water filter in my refrigerator for cold water and ice. I started making my ice cubes manually from my RO water instead. Symptoms eased up but now they're back. I noticed today a pinkish hue in my stool. And I'm cramping a bit too. What should I try next. PS I have type II diabetes with sort of high blood sugar lately (apx 300).
Brief Answer:
How often are your stools?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this diarrhea that you have reported. Please, kindly report to me the frequency of your stools. I think it is a nice idea to have stopped using the new water filter. Should these symptoms persist, I will certainly want to get a stool exam to understand what is actually going on.
I wish you well and keep me update. This diarrhea is unrelated to high sugars and am leaning towards a possible germ being responsible for this.

Thanks for your reply. I read something online about diarrhea and high blood sugar. That's why I mentioned it. I was leaning more toward the water too. I'm more confident of the RO water than the little filter in the fridge. At the moment the frequency is roughly hourly. I'll see my PCP IF it continues another day or two.
Brief Answer:
In the interim, drink much water!

Hi and thanks for the follow up.
Yes, wait a day or two and see your PCP is nothing changes. Keep me updated about it.
