Question: Hi, my son of 6months old has had 5 loose motions & 3 vomitings in the last 15 hours... Can i give him eco norm sachet???

I have gone through your query.You can give econorm XXXXXXX It contains probiotic bacteria which helps in normalizing intestinal bacteria and helps in controlling loose motions.But ORS should be given according to fluid loss by vomiting or diarrhoea.
But if frequency of diarrhoea increases better to go Emergency Room.Intravenous fluid replacement will be needed.I also give H2 blockers like ranitidine injections and anti emetic ondasetron if vomiting continues, in my patients.
