I have been blessed with a baby girl 3 days back. My wife is trying to feed the baby but, generally baby sleeps or cries and mother feeding is not happening properly due to which my wife is feeling pain in breats and also litle hardness.
What shall we do in this regard?
Thanks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about feeding baby.
This is common among first time mothers to have such feeding difficulties.
Please follow the steps I am writing below :
1) Initially watery secretion will flow which is colostrum which is good milk. Keep giving it to baby.
2) Since breast milk gets collected in the breast, it is advisable to express out the milk. This will help in reducing the pain and also give enough milk to baby.
3) This expressed milk can be fed to baby with clean spoon or pallada.
4) Therefore I suggest you need to continue feeding every 2 hours in day and night so that baby does not feel hungry or cry. If cries, you need to feed again.
5) If breasts pain more she can start using hot water bag on breast to reduce pain.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards
