Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Conceiving While Having Regular Menstruation
Question: Hello Dr,
I have been trying to concieve for about 1 yr now and my period is very regular and last about 4-5 days. I ovulated and had timely intercourse with my husband about 2 weeks ago. I was supposed to have my period on the 1st but it started on the 3rd of april (2 days late) and it is really heavy - infact I have not had such a heavy period before. I would like to have an idea of what is going on. Did i get pregnant and no implantation? Or could I be pregnant? Im Just tired... no other symptoms.

Hello and welcome to Health care Magic forum. After going through your query it seems that chances of pregnancy are very less.
Pregnancy is termed only when Implantation of embryo occurs in the uterus.
Implantation bleeding on the other hand presents as bleeding spots and not as heavy bleeding. Although I will advise you to take a urine pregnancy test .
Please get back to me after you do the test.
And don't loose heart ,there can be problems in life which can be dealt with patience only.
In my opinion you need to get certain tests done to check the problem which is interfering in the conception process.
So tell me the result of pregnancy test and then we can discuss further management

Then this was a normal period only so now as you want to have a baby soon but unable to conceive despite of trying for about an year, you should get some tests done viz TSH, Serum Prolactin, Fasting blood sugar and semen analysis of your husband.
Get the reports and then we can discuss further management according to the reports.
Also you can try following measures to enhance the chances of conception -
1) try to keep a pillow beneath your buttocks after sex so that gravitational force keeps the semen inside her vagina for a longer time.
2) you should not get up for at least 20-25 minutes
3) try conventional position of sex female lying down on bed
4) maximum chances of conception are in day 10-18 of the cycle.
I hope these measures will help you in conception in near future.
