Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Conceiving

Question: XXXXXXX 2015 was chemical pregnancy..april 2015 and may 2015 taken siphene 50 mg from day2-6 ..didn't got success ..so in XXXXXXX 2015 taking siphene 100 mg from 2-7 day...did follicular scanning on 14 th day of cycle,ED-8.2 ,left follicule dominant 20x13 ,17X13 .took hucog 5000 iu injection on same day (cycle day 14)... on 17th day of cycle again did follicular study ED -11.1 ,2 Left follicule-21x13 and 19x15....
my question is after injection why follicules were not ruptured .. and on cycle day 18 I got positive opk...again today still getting positive opk(cycle day20)...getting confused whether I will be ovulating or not?? if not what is the problem ..whether its bcoz of tablet??? shall I try for normal conceving??

I have read you query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Possibly you are ovulating late. That is why you are getting OPK positive late.

2) You should have done follicular scan again on day 20 to check if there is delayed.

3) I presume you are ovulating little late.

4) Next cycle, I suggest you take different brand of Inj. hCG. as sometimes the brand of hCG makes difference in ovulation.

5) You can try normally for conceiving.

on 18th I got 1st positive opk..I am doing bbt charting ..on 19th day from 96.87 to 97.57 bbt has increase.. s0 I thought I had ovulated on 18th day...so again I took opk test today on 20th day of cycle..its still coming positive...is it normal ???

and started dupaston 10 mg on day 17th of cycle....can it affect bbt???

Hi,

Duphaston does cause rise in BBT and hence BBT is not a reliable measure.\

It is normal to have tested positive for ovulation after day 18. This is normal.

ok thanks..but 3rd day also it is coming positive(continuous 3 days positive )...so when to expect ovulation..or already after first surge on day 18th .I had ovulated..

when should I do follicular study for confirming the ovulation???

What are the chances of pregnancy in this cycle...as am ovulating late..before medicication I used to ovulate on 18or 19th day of cycle..and my luteal phase was 11-12 days.is it normal ??

how many days more nowonwards I should I have intercourse ..if I had not ovulated???

Hi,

The surge occurred on 18th and hormone has maintained itself for sometime. Therefore you get positive OPK for 3 days or more.

It is normal to have luteal phase of about 12 days.

You should have intercourse from 16th to 22nd day of cycle depending upon your ovulation studies.
