Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Getting Pregnant Inspite Of Having PCOD
Question: Iam having PCOD and irregular periods.Trying to conceive since 2 years. My ovulation study shows that follicle is of size 4-6 mm till 17th day. suggest me whether to go for FSH injection or Laproscopy.My HSG is normal.

With the background of PCOD nad irregular periods and after seeing your scan report for the 13th and 17th day, it clearly shows that follicle size is 4-6mm which is not good. ovulation doesnt occur untill the follicular size is atleast 20 -22 mm .
You must not take any injections in this cycle.
Next cycle you may take clomiphene citrate 50mg from day 2 of new cycle till 5 days and continuously monitor the follicular growth thereafter on 7, 11, 14, 18, 21 day of cycle.
Incase follicular growth is still inadequate on 7th day of cycle then inj fsh 75 IU may be considered for daily injection and continuous monitoring till follicle size reaches 18-20mm, following which an HCG inj 10000units can be given for ovulation to occur after next 36 hrs.

hello sir!what diet I have to maintain.Also my doctor has suggested me to go for IVF centre. But my age is 26 only.

well , unfortunately there is no particular diet to be followed which can improve infertility. On the contrary it is important to loose weight to reduce insulin resistance seen in PCOD patients.
If you have already tried ovulation induction drugs already and for 3 cycles already then it is better to approach an IVF center for further treatment and ovulation induction protocols.
