Brief Answer:
ent consultation-medications under supervision.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

I see similar cases amongst veteran people who visit my clinic, I would like to ask you few more details.

Does he has any other symptoms associated with swallowing difficulties like cough, aspiration or hiccup? you have not mentioned the cause for radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

The following is a list of prescription medications that have been used successfully in controlling saliva. If a single dose does not work, a combination may be tried.

I suggest you to to consult an ent surgeon/onco surgeon and get detailed ent examination and start these drugs under medical supervision.

List of drugs-glycopyrolate, amitriptalline, scopalamine, propanthaline and imipramine. Before going to these medications you need to be ready for their side effects (as already with radio and chemotherapy). Your treating surgeon will decide the dosage and strength.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
