Brief Answer:
Recurrent shoulder dislocation

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Thank you for writing on health care magic

The shoulder dislocation is a very common problem which re occurs, as the shoulder joint is the most unstable joint in the whole body. One big head of humerus tries to fit in the capsule and once dislocated, it keeps getting dislocated.

Firstly, whenever you visit a GP ask them to check for joint hypermobility in you as this is one factor which causes recurrent dislocation. If joint hypermobility is present, we need to screen for a few more things in you to be on the safe side

2. As for the drugs and treatment :

(A)You should take calcium supplements for a period of 3-6 months along with Vitamin D. They will help in stregnthning of the bones

(B) There is no use of chondrotin sulfate you are having. It has no role in these dislocations

(C) You are right in building the muscles. When the joint becomes weak, the best way is to strengthen the muscle around so it gets a better support. So work on your isometric exercises

(D) Posture is the main thing you have to be careful about: Avoid moving your hand out and back as it will dislocate the joint again and make it weak. If you are going to the gym, be careful with Flyer exercise for the shoulder and the chest exercises.

(E) The last treatment option is Surgery where they reduce the distance between the head and the cavity. But for now, if you work on these you should be ok.

I thought the ligaments around the joints may be weak as well?

Brief Answer:
Ligament weakness

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Yes the ligaments are the structures which connect the 2 different joints and hence they tend to get weak with these dislocations.

Any ligament injury takes it s own time to recover, but unfortunately there are no exercises specifically to strengthen it. So, we can only work on the muscles surrounding the ligaments and tendons. That improves the overall support
