Question: Following a trip and fall, I fell against a sharp printer table corner. Immediate 'heat' on my entire lower right side. Swelling increased for two weeks. Laparoscopic surgery with ONE incision. Constant aching and some jabbing pain, slight swelling (seven years). This is a blunt force injury. NO prior hernia issues at all. The mesh implanted was a Kugel Mesh. I now have cysts/tumors, same area - looping colon, diagnosed diverticulosis. The original surgeon said I 'punched a hole' in my abdominal wall. This is groin/pelvic area. I feel that the mesh has either migrated, folded, or come apart. I feel that removal is best???? Many scans (abdominal) show NO problem. When a recent MRI scan of the PELVIC area was performed, issues of concern were discovered. This affects everything I do, everyday.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. However, I would be really glad if you could provide me with a rough timeline of the events you mention. I doubt if the mesh would shift although weakening of the adjacent areas could still give a similar presentation. However, if that is the case, the same would certainly be detectable on an abdominal scan.

I would insist you to upload your latest scan report. Also mention why you think that you have cysts or tumors in the area if the scans are not indicating the same.

I would await your response. Based on your inputs I will guide you further. Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
