Suggest Treatment For Dry Cough And Tightness In The Chest
Question:
I am 27 years old. I have been coughing for more than a month now. Also I felt nauseated few times & kind of felt like choking while coughing on 4-5 occasions. Sometimes it's wet cought with white discharge but most of the time it's dry cough. Also felt chest tightness on few occasions but things got improved & then I coughed only 2-3 times a day.But after 2-3 weeks of relief, I started coughing a lot & vomitted few times. I have no Medical history. Doctor gave me febrex plus & gryllinctus when I visited him a month ago but that didn't help. After a week things got improved a bit by itself but it's happening again. Please guide me what should I do

Hello Sir,
Thanks for your response!
1. I am not losing any weight.
2. Most of the time, I do not make any hissing sound but sometimes I think I do.I almost never notice this sound.
3. I have never felt any heartburn, chest- tightness (left part) only on few occasions. I also never had indigestion except yesterday, I also vomited some undigested food yesterday. Earlier on 3-4 occasions, I have vomited while coughing but it was just water kind of material in a very small amount. Sometimes I have difficulty while swallowing & even drinking water but it is also temporary. Sometimes it feels like I have some liquid in my throat which is causing irritation. For 2 days I also felt like there is some hard material in my throat, which also gave me very sharp ephemeral pain in my throat & in my left ear on 1 or 2 occasion.
I also had mild fever in the start but it went away in 1 or 2 days. Due to coughing a lot I developed some mild back pain which also got recovered.
Please let me know if you have any other question.
Regards, XXXXXXX

Problem in GI tract
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your follow up quick reply
As per your reply you have nothing to be worried at all, your problem is minor one so you need a physical examination as well as endoscopy examination before starting most specific treatment. During endoscopy examination your doctor can look for any unusual appearance of the esophagus and will remove tissue samples for testing. Further treatment plan depends after testing reports only.
You can do few things at home which may help you-:
1)Avoid eating excessive amounts of foods that you know worsen your symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux.these may include alcohol, caffeine, chocolate and mint flavored foods
2)Always take a pill with plenty of water and do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking a pill.
3)Talk with your doctor to make a diet plan to lose weight and maintained a healthy weight
4)Try to quit smoking if you have this habits
5)Try to avoid unnecessary painkillers
6)Avoid stooping or bending after eating
7)Avoid lying down after eating at night ,wait at least 3 hours
8)Place wooden blocks under your bed to elevate your head. Aim for an elevation of 15-20 centimeters.

Hello Sir,
Thanks for your reply again!
I felt concerned when symptoms(coughing, cold, nausea & mild fever) reappeared after some good recovery. I hope it will get better in 1-2 days. Is it possible that I could suddenly become allergic to grapes. I used to eat lot of grapes earlier but when I got sick, I left eating it. But few days before I had some grapes & next day, I had wet coughing. I know, grapes is supposed to alleviate coughing but it didn't happen in my case.
I don't smoke & I also don't drink alcohol, tea or coffee etc. I am not fat either, my body fat is well under control.
I will visit some doctor & will let you know about my progress.
