Suggest Treatment For Dryness And Pain During Intercourse

default
Posted on Thu, 16 Jun 2016
Question: Hello. I am 59 years old. Female. After many years of very infrequent sexual activity because of dryness and pain, I recently became sexually active again with less pain each time. (not very frequently, though, maybe once per month). This last time was 4 days ago. This is the second time my partner ejaculated during penetration. Today I see a pale green discharge. What am I seeing? Should I be panicking? STD?

Brief Answer:
Bacterial vaginosis likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The pale green discharge that you have is likely to be bacterial vaginal infection. This is a common vaginal infection and can be easily treated with proper oral antibiotics. You can consult your gynecologist for a vaginal swab culture and further treatment.
