Question: All of a sudden I'm very tired, usually have a lot of energy, I feel a dull pain or tightness across upper back and have a sharper pain in my left shoulder. I do have tingling and numbness in both left and right hand/fingers. I'm female, turned 70 last Feb. and always been in very good health, no flu or colds, just sinus trouble that usually settles in my upper back??

Brief Answer:
Neck problems like cervical spondylosis can give such symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Neck problems like cervical spondylosis can give such symptoms. Tingling and numbness towards the hand and fingers can be caused from this by nerve compression syndrome. Bony spurs or intervertebral disc protrusions in cervical spine can compress the nerve roots which are going towards hands.

A consultation with orthopedician and X ray of cervical spine will be helpful to rule out this. Muscle relaxants , NSAID drugs and physiotherapy will be helpful to clear this.
Now what you can do at home is ice pack application , applying NSAID gels like Diclofenac (Volini) , wearing soft cervical collar , avoiding high pillows and use orthopaedic pillows, use hard mattress for sleeping. Taking calcium and vitamin D supplements also is good.

It is better to check blood routine to rule out anaemia and b12 level in blood to rule out B12 deficiency also.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
