Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank yo for using HCM to post your health question.
I read it and I understand your concern.
I will need some more information though.
When did the pain started?
How strong is it from 0-10?
Does it radiate somewhere else?
What makes it worse and what makes it better?
Does it hurt when you touch the area?
How is your bowel movement? Any skin changes in that area? Does it hurt in general if you move expect from when you sit in the desk?
Do you have other conditions that you may suffer from?
Please kindly give me this information and I will be happy to help.
Looking forward to your follow up question.

Have had pain for a number of months, many really, just not all the time. Not that strong, maybe a 2-3 at times. Seem to be just below left rip cage, not really tender to the touch. BM are good, no notice of skin change. Does hurt from time to time walking but more so when sitting at computer desk. Have had acid reflex problems in the past does not feel like that, Did fall off later from about 8ft last winter, fell on back and ribs did hurt for a bit. As I sit now it hurts a bit as described.
Brief Answer:
Make sure there isn't kidney or spleen damage.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thank you for the follow up question.
How you are describing it, it seems like muscular or a nerve damage.
I want to make sure though that you kidney and spleen are ok, so I would recommend to check them if you haven't checked after that fall from the ladder. So an abdominal ultrasound would be recommended.
If it results negative, then it can be one or the other diagnoses mentioned above.
I would give these advises:
-- Take a pain killer regularly for 2 weeks, to help decrease the inflammation and the pain.
-- Rub and massage with a local painkiller cream, 3-4 times per day while you are using the oral analgesic.
-- Ice or heat may help, whichever feels better.
-- Give it time to heal. If may need a lot of time to heal completely. It is like a wound that gets irritated from the movement.
Hope this helps clarify you a bit.
