Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection
Question: I have been having issues with my right ear. It was very full and I was very dizzy for several days. I went to get checked and was diagnosed with a mild middle ear infection. The nurse practitioner stated my ear drum was a little red. She prescribed amoxicillin and nasal spray. I have a very severe medication phobia and chose not to take the medication. My ear has gotten a lot better the last two weeks however I do feel just a bit of fluid in it everyday periodically. My dizziness for the most part is gone. I have a few short bouts but I also suffer from an anxiety disorder so I am not sure if I am truly dizzy or if maybe it is from my anxiety. I am currently very worried about mastoiditis since I chose to not take the antibiotics. Would my ear clear most of the way and then my mastoid bone get infected? I have definitely seen a huge improvement in my symptoms just not 100% more like 90%.
