Brief Answer:
Cause of the raised CRP needs investigation, Could you answer some questions?

Detailed Answer:
Good evening XXXXXX

Thank you for writing on health care magic

Well the causes of raised CRP can be many. It can be due to an infection in the body or inflammation in the body or even in patients with heart disease.

I would like to know :

1. how much are the levels of CRP?

2. Are you experiencing any symptoms of fever or joint pains or bodyache or backache?

3. Are you taking regular medications for diabetes or irregular ones??

4. Any symptoms of fatigue or tiredness??

5. How much is the ESR?

Do let me know these queries. At times when there is no such cause found and we only have CRP to be raised, it is always advisable to observe the patient and see if anything props up..

Awaiting your reply

Brief Answer:
The Fever is the probable cause for raised CRP

Detailed Answer:
Good evening

Well, a CRP of 10.5 is not considered too high. We normally consider it to be just on the upper limit. As you have had fever, it is probably the infection which is causing the rise in CRP.

Only thing I would like you to check for me is the units in which is it measured. Is it mg/DL or mg/L. ?

But I would like you to observe the CRP for now and not do much about it since you have tested it during the fever episode. Keep yourself well hydrated. Once the fever settles, repeat it again after 3 weeks or so. If it is still high we need to look into more causes. At this stage, I won't recommend anything too invasive or too explicit to do.

Do let me know for your further queries. Would be happy to help you out further

Stay healthy
