Question: Hello, I just received my test with MPV 12.6 which is high and it was only 7.5 20 days ago. How can I lower and how dangerous it is?

Hello,

the mean platelet volume (MPV) is not a very significant index as many factors may affect its value (including technical factors). When the platelet number and appearance is normal, the MPV is not important even if above the normal range as in your case. You can't do anything to lower it and it's not dangerous provided that the rest of your complete blood count is normal.
