Brief Answer:
may be due to abnormal nerve function-Neuropathy or blood supply

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Beta blockers also help reduce blood pressure readings and would help to control the high readings that you are getting.

Numbness and weakness can be alarming for a person to experience because some persons may worry about the possibility of a stroke.

Since your symptoms are occurring in both hands, then a stroke is not likely since it would normally affect one side only.

The high blood pressure may not be directly linked to the symptoms. High blood pressure can sometimes be associated with change in blood supply to some areas of the body and low blood supply can cause these symptoms.

If there is low blood supply, treatment would mostly consist of controlling blood pressure and cholesterol. Medication that would relax blood vessels may also be considered.

Another cause of these symptoms would be abnormal nerve supply or function to the area. This is called neuropathy. There are different causes.
Arthritis of the neck or shoulder can affect the nerves that pass through these areas to the hands.

Imaging of the neck and should would be needed to determine if there are any changes.
There are medication that can reduce the symptoms are neuropathy.

It would be best to be assessed by your doctor if the symptoms continue

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
