Question: Good Morning.
My total cho is 292 - triglycerides 152
LDL 192 and HDL lowish not sure of number
So what do I do (without taking statins) to correct it. I do water aerobics and starting tai chi - the latter 2 days a week and aerobics about 4-5 x a week

Cholesterol can be changed my lifestyle changes and medication which is not an option for you at the moment.

Lifestyle changes would include both diet and activity. Since you seem to very active already then you would need to look to if you can alter the diet in some way.

Medical evidence suggests that a cardioprotective diet would be high in vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, whole grains, lean protein sources such as white meat, fish, low fat dairy products.

Legumes : peas, beans, lentils, soybeans, peanuts

Whole grains: brown rice, pop corn, whole grain barley, whole oats, millet, quinoa, brown pasta etc

At least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables- that means with each main meal and as snack or along with another snack\
