Brief Answer:
Regarding your treatment;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking HealthcareMagic!
I have gone through your concern in details.

The treatment, your physician recommended already, is right.

A high TSH level may be the cause of high cholesterol and starting treatment with Levothyroxine will improve the lipid profile.

Usually, under active thyroid is a chronic disease and the treatment is life long, but you should check TSH level after 6 weeks to be sure that the dose you are taking is right.

Regarding Vit-D, the treatment depends on the Vit-D level on the blood, if it is under 10, you should take 50 000 UI once a weak for 8 weeks than 1000 UI/ day.

In the absence of known cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease, it is controversial whether or not to treat patients with elevated homocysteine levels.

In general, a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy products as well as low in saturated and total fat can help to decrease serum homocysteine.

Hope I have been helpful.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back!
Your homocysteine level is considered intermediate high ( not severe) but In the absence of known cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease, it is controversial whether or not to treat patients with elevated homocysteine levels. There is no clear evidence for treating patients who do not have severe hyperhomocysteinemia in the absence of cardiovascular or thrombotic disease.
Levothyroxine and the diet low in fat can decrease the cholesterol level.
Wish you good health.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
