Brief Answer:
The tick should be removed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Can you please attach a photo of it?

The tick should be removed with a tweezers. It should be grab gently and twisted clockwise. It usually allows to remove it completely. After removing it, the area should be washed with some antiseptic agent.

He should also be under observation for possible expanding redness area (erythrema migrans). If he will notice something like that, should consult a doctor and get antibiotic treatment.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
