Brief Answer: You need to wait for few more days . Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted and reports of scan it appears that your father has enlarged prostate with stones in Rt lower ureter with changes of obstructive uropathy.. He had undergone (Hopefully) TURP for resection of prostate and attempts were made to fragment the stone with Uretero Renoscopy (URS) .However many a times the ureteric orifice through which we pass the endoscope (URS) is oedematous and bladder wall is also trabaculated due to enlarged prostate making it difficult for surgeon to identify ureteric orifice and to pass the endoscope(URS) in to ureter. In such situation we have to wait for 2-3 weeks for oedema of the ureteric orifice to subside and attempt URS with fragmentation of stone at second sitting after 2-3 weeks. Please note that endoscopic surgery has its own limitations and one has to give natures its own time to settle down oedema and try it at later date instead of making forceful attempts to pass the endoscope which many times results in disaster complications. Please do not worry there is no harm in waiting for 2-3 weeks by the time he will fully recover from the first surgery of TURP. Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you Thanks and Regards. Dr.Patil. .
