Brief Answer:
It is due incomplete eradication of Infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have Epididymitis on left side which was treated with antibiotics but it has recurred after few days. This is due to incomplete eradication of infection.

Please note that Epididymis takes 3 weeks to get cured completely hence one has to take appropriate antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs for 3-4 weeks

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin and anti inflammatory drugs like DIclofenac twice daily with urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to write if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards .

Hello and Thanks, is it normal to have some flank (kidney area) and lower back pain with this? feels like my front lower abdomen is weak and definitely have an increased urge to urinate when drinking more fluids. otherwise dull throbbing pain sporadically to lower back of left testicle.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to either Epididymitis or Stone .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up.
Pain in the flank and lower back can be due to Epididymis itself .This is called a referred pain as the kidney and testicles on left side have the same nerve supply or due to Stone in the kidney or ureter,

Get your Ultrasound Scanning done to rule out the same .

To consult a Urologist will be of much help to resolve the issue.
Thanks and Regards.
