Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

The problem you are describing could be from a few causes. Here are some of my thoughts:

1. If you started a new medication prior to the onset of the epigastric pain and fullness, it may be due to that.

2. If you are not having bowel movements after the usual number of hours, it may be due to slow gastrointestinal motility.

3. There may be stomach or lower esophageal lining problem due to gastritis, peptic ulcer, or reflux.

If you are having considerable pain, and have experienced any weight loss, I think you should make an appointment to see a gastroenterologist. In the meantime, try a course of Zantac 150 mg twice a day and Gas X (simethicone). The Zantac will (safely) reduce stomach acid and the simethicone will break up gas that may be causing distension and fullness.

But do make an appointment, and if the pain becomes severe, go in to the ER.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
