Brief Answer:
This will be normal soon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
You are diagnosed as diabetic this April, but it does mean that you might have been having diabetes for a longer duration and got detected recently.

Diabetes is one of the most important reason for ED- Erectile Dysfunction. Other add-on factors are anxiety of performance, stress, exhaustion.

I would like to know why are you not on any medicines?

I am sure once your diabetes is well controlled by a combination of proper diet + exercises + medicines, your erectile dysfunction will be improved to a normalcy. Also take care of the factor which I mentioned.

We have seen many patients to have improved libido and sexual satisfaction after a proper control of diabetes, albeit this can not occur overnight. I am sure that if you maintain perfectly controlled blood sugars , there will be a good improvement.

In addition you can certainly consult an Urologist to see for the causes, investigations like color doppler for penile blood flow, prostate as you are 30.

Take multivitamins supplements as are anyway necessary in all patients of diabetes as they act as anti-oxidants.

For a baby one needs a normal semen and intravaginal ejaculation, which is possible with with mild ED.

Thanks for your reply. I wanted to control diabetes through diet + exercises. Do I really need to take pills to control. Also, I recently checked semen analysis, it shows active sperm is 10% which can move fast, does it mean that am poor. Please suggest to improve semen count. I was not able to have a intercourse daily or even in ovulation period. Do I need to do daily to get pregnant or alternative days is fine.

Brief Answer:
Medicines will improve your life too

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.

Please follow the things which I am going to tell you to have a better life too.

First of all, you have to start medicines to get control over the diabetes fast because it is one f the most importance of ED. I am sure once your diabetes is well controlled by a combination of proper diet + exercises + medicines, your erectile dysfunction (ED) will be improved to a normalcy. This will also improve your confidence, working and sexual capacity. Everything just changes for being positive, may improve your sperm count and motility too.

Consult Urologist for semen analysis, sperm count, need for diabetes control, He would also examine you for Varicocele and advise you the best for semen problem.

The best time to have pregnancy is by intercourse around ovulation in your wife. This occurs around 14 days before the next period ( menstruation cycle), if the cycle is of 28 days. Remember that the ejaculation has to be in the vagina.
