Question: I'm an 86 year old male with fairly high libido; however, the erection is not hard enough to get the job done. What about increasing my testorone level. Will it help? And if so which drug should i buy? Thanks

Brief Answer:
You need to do further evaluations.

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thank you for using Health Care Magic !
I have gone through your question and I understand your concern.
It will help if your testosterone levels are low as one of the causes of the disfunction.
So before you start testosterone You need to do a blood test to measure your blood testosterone level. In this case you will take testosterone injection to replace testosterone.
In your age I would suggest to do a examination with a local doctor because there are a lot of conditions that may cause the disfunction and here are some you need to find out for a proper treatment :
-Cardiovascular -disease --high blood pressure ( a pure controll of blood pressure If you suffer), atherosclerosis. ...
-Diabetes ( pure controll of diabetes ), high triglyceride levels , endocrine problems ( thyroid problems ..),neurogenic causes ( peripheral neuropathy ), medication (antihypertension drugs, antidepressants. ..)
-anxiety, traumatic experiences, stress.( In this case when you are alone you don't have problem with erection , you have only with your patner ,you need to relax).

It's very important to rule out all these by doing blood test, physical examinations for proper management.
Hope you find all these helpful.
Let me know if you have any further clarifications.
Take Care !
Dr Balliu.
