Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction
Question: I HAD A TURP IN NOV 15, SINCE THEN I AM HAVING PROBLEM WITH ERECTILE DYSFUNCITON. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE PRESCRIPTIONS. MY UROLOGIST TRIED TRIMIX THIS MORNING , TO NO AVAIL, HE SAYS HE GAVE ME THE HIGHEST DOSE THAT HE COULD. I AM 74 YRS OLD AND STILL ACTIVE AND WORK AT A
FULL TIME JOB. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE A PUMP PUT IN MY BODY. ANY IDEAS

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have undergone surgery of TURP in Nov 15 and facing problem of Erectile Dysfunction .

1) Did you have normal Erectile Function before surgery?
2) Do you have Diabetes and Hypertension?
Erectile Dysfunction after TURP is common in 40-50% of the patients after the age of 65 years and is due to common factors like Diabetes ,Hypertension ,Atherosclerosis of blood vessels It gets recovered in 12-18 months in 15-20% patients .
Several studies have been conducted on this issue and the reports of various centers are confusing and very variable
Since you have failed to achieve erection even after trial of intracavernosal injection of highest dose of Trimix it is very difficult to predict outcome of your problem .
You can expect it get resolved over a period of year or two .
