Question: I have an ED problem with a different then usual cause. 30 some years ago I had a penile implant removed that I was toll caused some tissue damage. No problem with testaterone , diabetis or any other health issues. Viagra words moderately but the best solution is prostiglandis injections. My questions relates to my reading that there has been some success with gene therapay on this but I would like to know who is doing this that I can consult with. Also instead of the 100 mg dose of Viagra I get much better results taking 2 but was told this can dangerously lower my blood pressure. However I tested my pressure which is typically 125/80 and never saw it drop more then 10 points.

Brief Answer:
Gene therapy promises safe treatment option in ED.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your concern.

Taking two tablets of Viagra 100mg,is a very high risk.
It's known to cause severe fall in B.P. and you may just collapse.
It may also cause a priapism, which will need urgent medical treatment.
Kindly avoid such unsafe practices.

Gene therapy for ED is being investigated and holds promising results.
Hopefully,it should be available,in a year's time after pre-clinical tests are over.
It may need only two injections annually, into the erectile region of the penis.
It's believed to have an action lasting for about six months.

Hope your doubts are cleared.
Wish you well.
