Brief Answer:
High Blood pressure itself is big killer of your sex life

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I like to inform you that stress and blood pressure are biggest enemies of your sex life. If these two things are not managed the result of anything will be suboptimal whether it is tadalafil or sildenafil or something else.

It is possible that with control of your blood pressure you can have normal sex life without medications. I mean to say that your doctor is right in saying that there is need to take blood pressure medicine.

I understand that you are fearing the side effects of two medications but I think we need to correct root cause first rather than treating the superficial things.

I hope this answers you.
I will be glad to help you further.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
It is partially true

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for reverting back to me.

You might be knowing that the same medicine used for control of blood pressure can cause increase blood pressure and same is applicable here. Medicine is not exact science and it can be called as half science.

Despite the fact that some of antihypertensive cause erectile dysfunction, same medications and lot other antihypertensive correct the erectile dysfunction.

I understand your concern but you might be knowing the alpha blockers are rarely used for control of hypertension on the se days and the drug of choice are angiotensin antagonists which has little side effects in form of ED. Even among the ACE inhibitors the side effect in form of ED are very low. To be precise the risk benefit analysis favours use of antihypertensives and I think it will be appropriate to use them as advised by your doctor.

I hope this helps you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
