Question: My wife had dental surgury today and has much bleeding . What can I do to reduce the bleeding from the gums ?

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the bleeding from gums is concerned, it can be because of the dislodged clot secondary to vigorous gargling following the surgery. The other possible cause can be because of the vigorous movements involving the operated site.
Do not panic. You can keep a moist squeezed cotton (dipped in saline) and press it over the bleeding site for 30 min. If that doesn't stopping bleeding, you need to consult a oral physician and get it evaluated for further suturing.
