Brief Answer:
May have
hypochondriasis, so consult psychiatrist
Detailed Answer:
HI
Thanks for using healthcare magic. I, Dr Abhishek Kapoor, would help you in this query.
I think, you have hypochondriasis rather than
HIV. Let first discuss about it.
Hypochondriasis or hypochondria refers to excessive preoccupancation or worry about having a serious illness. It is a psychological disorder and this condition is the result of an inaccurate perception of the condition of body or mind despite the absence of an actual medical condition. Patients may have numerous
intrusive thoughts and physical sensations that push them to check with family, friends and physicians for investigation and they do not get convinced even after getting negative tests. Same problem is with you.
What ever behavior, fear and dreams you have, that is due to this disorder. In that case, you have to
consult a psychiatrist rather than physician. You need cognitive
behavioral therapy (CBT) and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors like
fluoxetine and
paroxetine. This would help you to control such thoughts and hence the disorder. If you have always consulted a psychiatrist, then give me the detail of medication, so that i could help you.
In case, you need further help, you may ask.
