Advice regarding hair loss and greying of hair
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have gone through your query and i have understood your concerns..
1.) Hair loss in males is most commonly due to androgenetic alopecia, which is also known as patterned hair loss.
Androgenetic alopecia is progressive and characterized by gradually progressive thinning & decreased hair density from the frontal as well as crown part of the scalp.
This is also associated with gradually receding anterior hairline & widening as well as deepening of angles of anterior hair line.
There is usually a positive family history in affected patients.
Topical Minoxidil 5% solution & Oral finasteride are approved treatments for androgenetic alopecia in males.
I would like to request you to upload a few Images of the scalp so that I am able to judge the severity and pattern of alopecia.

2.) The first onset of grey hair and the speed at which people go grey varies from person to person.
Most people actually start going grey in their late 20's but they don't notice it immediately.
Hair is said to grey prematurely when it occurs before the age of 20 years in Whites, 25 years in Asians and before 30 years in Africans.
Since you are 33 years old therefore you can expect a few grey hairs on scalp at this age.
However, treatment can be started if your grey hairs are significantly more than what is expected at your age.
Currently available treatment options for premature greying are... Para aminobenzoic acid (PABA) and Calcium pantothenate.
Therapeutic dose of these is 100 mg, twice daily. Recommendation is to take thrice daily for 6 months.
Treatment is known to arrest and even reverse premature greying to an extent.
Topical 1% Melitane is also available for premature greying of hair.
It is available as a gel and needs to be applied once daily (2ml) at night at the roots.
These are all prescription medications and therefore must always be taken under the supervision of a dermatologist.
Hope this helps you in getting a solution to your problem
