Suggest Treatment For Excessive Vaginal Itching And Burning Sensation

Posted on Sat, 7 Feb 2015
Question: I have a myriad of symptoms. Here goes. Currently I have a pulling from inside my belly button and almost electrical pulses throughout my bottom half (almost like chills but not).2 weeks ago I had extreme vaginal itching and burning. I had the doc test urine for infection. None was found. I ovulated on day 16 of my 32 day cycle and that day my pelvic (ovary) area was extremely tender to the touch. Felt bruised. The tenderness lasted about 2 days. My itching and burning is gone but my urination flow is not right. It's hard to start and very slow. I have to force my bladder to empty. Last week I came down with fever nausea migraine muscle aches soreness. I went to an urgent care where I was treated for a virus. I don't know if that sickness has to do with the vagina stuff but I thought id give all of the facts. Those symptoms are gone and today I am only left with slow urination, pulling belly button and tingling impulses from the waste down. Thanks in advance!

Brief Answer:
Get a sonography and MRI

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

i can understand your concerns.

From what you have told me it looks like your problems are arising from the pelvic area, most likely the urinary bladder and nerves nearby. It can be a mass there or a swelling. I will advise you to get an ultrasonography of your pelvis and also an MRI to see what exactly is causing the problem.

How did you know that you ovulated? Are you trying to get pregnant or taking any medicines?

Do let me know what the reports say.

Regards,

Dr Som

The day I had them test my urine I also had a vaginal ultrasound. Yes I am trying to conceive and tracking ovulation. During the ultrasound they saw that I had a follicle. Wouldn't they have seen a mass or swelling?

Brief Answer:
Your report is normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

A follicle is what is expected. A mass or a swelling will be abnormal.

Your sonography is normal.
