Brief Answer:
ORS is the mainstay of treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Irrespective of the cause of vomiting, the salts and water lost during vomiting, need to be replenished, else dehydration may result. Give him Pedialyte (oral rehydration solution or ORS) solution sip by sip. It is the mainstay of treatment and needs to be continued. Adequacy will be indicated by the frequency of passage of urine. If it is normal, you need not worry. Giving some antiemetic like Emeset (ondansetron) should help in controlling the vomiting.

You need not worry if the child is sleeping but if the child becomes lethargic, you would have to rush him to the emergency department of some hospital with pediatric facilities.

Hope that helps.
