Suggest Treatment For Extreme Facial Flushing
Question: For the past couple months I've had issues with my face getting very flushed almost to the point of a light purple sometimes.
Brief Answer:
Due to hormonal levels
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Your problems seem to be due to problems with the levels of testosterone and androgens. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can be considered although it has its limitations. Other newever treatments may be tried. One involves antidepressants. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as paroxetine (Paxil) have been effective, as has a related antidepressant, venlafaxine (Effexor). Both types are well tolerated.
Let me know if I could help further.

I have taken effexor for depression before but it did not help with that aspect of my life. I have been on remeron now for two weeks for its antidepressant effects. I was concerned about possibly hypertension as well, as I sometimes have a pounding heart and shortness of breath fairly often.
Brief Answer:
A thorough clinical correlation needed
Detailed Answer:
I understand. However, taking any antidepressant at random will not resolve the problem. It needs a proper clinical correlation and you would need to visit your doctor for the same.
