Suggest Treatment For Fatigue And High Heart Rate
I've had several tests run and the only two have come back with problems:
1) Aldos/Renin Ratio >44.0 High
2) Potassium, Urine 16.8 Low
3) Potassium, Serum 4.2 Normal
Please help me. I feel really bad. I've been to the doctor several times and she thinks I'm fine.
Need more details
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.
The symptoms of the condition are not very clear. You have just mentioned fatigue. Are there any other symptoms? Fever, bodyache, abdominal complaints, chest complaints? Please think carefully.
Also, I would like to see all the reports that you have mentioned. So I would suggest that you upload the files to the site.
Low urine potassium is nothing to be worried about as the serum potassium is normal. Similarly, if the individual components are normal ,the abnormality of the ratio is not significant.
I therefore feel that you have to consider telling me more about the symptoms and upload your reports.
Meanwhile, take plenty of fluids. Best to take 3- 4 liters of water. If you take alcohol or smoke ,I think it would be good to avoid them.
Awaiting greater details.
Best of luck.
Dr Mittal.
other symptoms:

need tests and details

Hi
The reports are not uploaded
You may upload the reports by mailing them to me.
send them to YYYY@YYYY with Subject as ATTN : Dr. Saumya Mittal
I would actually really suggest testing a holter monitoring as well as fasting blood sugar.
It seems to me hat you may be having arrhythmias, possibly secondary to a cardiac valvular lesion. In this circumstances, I would suggest 2 tests- Holter monitoring and Echocardiography.
If they have already been done, you may forward them to me as well.
Are you on any regular medicines? Your cortisol levels need to be looked into.
Also, does your weakness seem to be more in the evening, compared to the morning?
Please let me know the details for further discussion
Best of luck
Dr Mittal
