Question: Hello I have recently been suffering with fatigue and blurred vision followed by nerve spasms which spread from my jaw to my elbow to my legs and feet, these spasms only last for a minute or so at a time,I also have muscle weakness in my right arm from time to time. I suffer from constipation and back problems also. I usually take anti-inflammatory medication and pain meds to ease it but concerned that it has been more frequent in the past few weeks. I'm 30yrs old female mother of 2 boys and I work full-time. I would appreciate your advice, thank you.

Brief Answer:
Examination, labs and lifestyle changes

Detailed Answer:
Hi madam.Thanks for your query.

According to your description I would provisionally make a diagnosis/suspect of Trigeminal neuralgia with Vitamin D/Vitamin B12 deficiency.Hence I would ask for labs(Vitamin D, Serum calcium, Vitamin B12 assay) and examination.I would suggest to consult a neurologist and stop using anti-inflammatory medication since they give you a temporary relief and not the solution for your ailments. The cause needs to be identified and treated accordingly as discussed above.

Hope below tips would help to keep constipation at bay-
-Add high fibre to your diet(fruits, vegetables, peas, oats, cereals, rice XXXXXXX etc)
-Drink plenty of fluids, atleast 3-5 liters/day
-Exercise daily.Walking for 30-45 minutes/day, surnamaskara, yoga, meditation relieve constipation as well as back problems.
-Avoid oily, fatty, spicy food items.
-As a last resort you can use Cremaffin Plus syrup 10ml at night for 1 week if constipation doesnot relieve.Medication should be always last resort. Cremaffin plus is available over the counter.

Feel free to write for further queries you may have.
