Suggest Treatment For Fatigue, Finger Swelling And Blurred Vision
A switch in drugs, as recommended
Detailed Answer:
Greetings and welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. Thank you for your question.
Actually, the medication you are taking are only aiming to treat possible high blood pressure figures. Although it is unusual for a female individual of 43 years old to have hypertension, it is not impossible to happen.
However, as about the fast heart rate, my opinion is that you are not on the right medication. Indeed, they are medications that effectively "fight" hypertension, but neither of them "fights" the high heart rate, neither the premature ventricular contractions (PVCs).
Therefore, I would recommend you to consult your cardiologist about the possibility of switching your Nebivolol (Bystolic) to Atenolol or Metoprolol , which are beta-blockers which also act on the heart rate, besides on the high blood pressure. Let this alone, these agents also abolish and prevent PVCs from happening.
At this standing point, I would aside with your cardiologist, and advice you that none of these are heart related. If this is really concerning to you, affecting your quality of life and work, I would recommend you a 2D-Echo cardiogram (to evaluate your heart chemabers and valves structure and function), also a consult with a clinical psychologist, since these symptoms may be stress-related.
I hope my answer was helpful. I am happy to help you with follow-up questions.
Kindest regards,
Dr. Meriton
Thank You so much for your response.
