Suggest Treatment For Fatigue, Muscle Pain And Weakness While Having Psoriasis
Question: I was told I had Mono yesterday by my dermatologist, who has been treating me for Psoriasis. She ran several blood tests. When she decided to run the tests I had complained of fatigue, joint & muscle pain, along with weakness in those areas. I also have balance issues, eyes are weaker, night sweats. No significant sore throat, but sensatve, cough in the am hours. No fever, but when I'm going to have a Psoriasis breakout, by body gets very red and hot, and i get agitated. I have other issues that have been going on for years, but I don't want to take the time to go into them. Seeing my MD on Tues. 3/29/16, Thank You, XXXXXXX XXXX

I'm not really sure! I've read multiple symptoms re: mono, some seem to be true for me, as I originally wrote. I suppose what I'm asking, based on my symptoms, could I be looking at another concern? I've never felt this way before. I do have serious back issues, arthritis in most of my joints, back, etc..
Based on the symptoms I wrote about, in my first question, and what I wrote about now, would your best guess be Mono, or psoriatic, arthritic condition. I don't really know myself, thats why I wrote to you! I am a 68 yr, old women.

Brief Answer:
mono not very likely
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Mononucleosis doesn't sound very likely with the symptoms you've described. You've mentioned some tests. Perhaps your doctor has checked for specific antibodies before telling you about it. Would you please upload the reports? It could be very helpful.
The most common presentation of mononucleosis is with lymphadenopathy, sore throat and high fever. Spleen enlargement is a fairly common sign. Fatigue is very common and sometimes prolonged.
I'll be glad to comment more on your case when you provide the reports. . .
Kind regards!
