Suggest Treatment For Fatigue, Nausea And Abdominal Discomfort
Question: Hello, and thank you in advance for any info you can provide. Just recovered from 2 days mol of 101-102 degree fever, severe aches and pains, electric shocks, extreme fatigue, moderate lower bowel discomfort and gas (no diarrhea or stool trouble) and mild nausea (no vomiting), but no respiratory distress or symptoms whatsoever. All symptoms somewhat alleviated by prescription dosages of NSAIDs and OTC GI meds. No flu shot this year, btw. Thoughts?
Brief Answer:
Hello. This is typical of the flu
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Typical symptoms of the flu include fever, chills, headache, fatigue, and body aches, sometimes with nausea.
It sounds also like you may have a stomach virus.
Tamiflu, if prescribed and started within 48 hours of the start of the symptoms, can reduce the usual seven to ten day course of the illness, but, other than that, rest, fluids, ibuprofen or Tylenol, and extra vitamin C and zinc are all that can be done.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
Regards
