Brief Answer:
It should get resolved....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand you are disappointed and I apologize for this inconvenience.

From your description it is clear that you have symptoms of upper respiratory infection - fever, headache, nasal congestion (cold) and paraosmia (abnormal and horrible smell). This abnormal smell occurs as a result of the nerves associated with sense of smell, the olfactory nerves getting affected due to infection.
Since you also have other prodromol symptoms that include nausea, diarrhea and fatigue, I believe this infection is most likely from a viral flu which is a self resolving condition. The fact that you are slowly getting better is a positive sign.

In this context, I would suggest you start steam inhalation along with a cold and flu medication such as tylenol cold and flu tablet. I would also start you on vitamin c pills that are over the counter. Additionally I will encourage you to take plenty of fluids and fresh fruits.

I realize you are quite bothered with these symptoms. But don't worry, I expect you to get better soon in this week. Should that not occur (improvement), you can visit your local GP who can start you on antihistamines, nasal decongestants and if necessary, antibiotics.

Hope this helped. I will be pleased to clarify in case you have a doubt.

Regards
