Suggest Treatment For Fatigue When Recovering From Stomach Infection

Question: I had a bad bout of the stomach flu, I presume about a month ago...I'm still very very lightheaded and fatigued almost all day. It's very hard to function throughout the day, and I feel like lying down all day. Is this dehydration??

There could be multiple factors contributing to your illness

1. Decreased intake of water leading to dehydration

2. Persistent fatigue of recovery phase of viral infection

3. Vitamin deficiency

4. Inadequate sleep

5. Stress and anxiety


I would suggest you the following


1 . Ensure good intake of water : 2 to 3 liter a day


2. High fiber diet : 2 servings of vegetable salad and 2 servings of fruits especially citrus fruit will ensure adequate intake of fiber in diet.

3. Multivitamin supplements

4. Uninterrupted sleep for 6 to 8 hours

5. Physical activity and exercise
