Suggest Treatment For Fever, Chills, Runny Nose, Cough, Fatigue And Loss Of Appetite

Question: These are my symptoms: low- grade fever [100.4] occasionally accompanied by chills; runny nose, but not stopped up; coughing; copious mucus that is always clear and colorless; fatigue and listlessness; no appetite. I have spent this past week with a friend whose doctor diagnosed him Friday with sinus and ear infections and put him on augmentin. I flew home Friday evening.
I suspect rhinitis but wonder if it might be something more severe and should be checked at a clinic. I have been treating it with Tylenol, rest, plenty of water, green tea, some chicken noodle soup.
Any other suggestions on what it may be or additional OTC meds?
Thank you for your consideration.

Brief Answer:
You are doing good!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your symptoms are suggestive of a possible viral infection of the upper respiratory tract and need no specific antibiotics. The measures you have listed are sufficient. It normally takes 3days to see meaningful change in symptoms and for fever to disappear. I will not be adding anything new to what you are already doing. Keep me updated and if need be, I will make further suggestions and recommendations.
I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
