Brief Answer:
Please do sponging with tepid water. Give paracetamol syrup at 15 mg/kg.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

103 degrees is quite high, you need to bring down the temperature as soon as possible.

The best way to bring down the temperature fast is to do tepid sponging.

Make sure the water is not too cold, (room temperature is fine).

Remove all clothes from your child and wipe the entire body with a cotton cloth dipped in the water repeatedly for 15 minutes.

Along with that you should give a paracetamol syrup such as Calpol.

Be careful about the dosage.

Your child needs 15 milligrams of paracetamol per one kilogram of her body weight.

If she weighs 10 Kgs then she will require 150 milligrams of paracetamol.

The paracetamol content in syrups varies, so be sure to check how much of paracetamol is present each ml of the syrup.

Usually, it will be either 125mg/5 ml or 250mg/5 ml.

If the syrup is 125 mg/5 ml, then if your baby's weight is 10 kgs, she will need 6 ml of the syrup.

I hope now you can easily calculate and give.

Your daughter needs to be looked at by a pediatrician for her fever and cough and cold.

The doctor will decide the further course of action after examining your child.

For now I have provided you the basic home remedies that you can do till morning.

I hope I have been of some help. Wishing your daughter a speedy recovery.
